Job Overview

EcoDemand, a trailblazing Ecommerce SaaS company focused on the life-science marketplace, is seeking a talented and motivated PHP/Laravel/Vue Developer Intern to join our innovative technology team. As a Developer Intern, you will contribute to the development of our cutting-edge Ecommerce platform, gaining hands-on experience with PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, and other web technologies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of life sciences and technology, contributing to the growth of our dynamic company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Web Development: Collaborate with the development team to build and maintain features of the EcoDemand Ecommerce platform using PHP and Laravel framework. Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using Vue.js.
  • Code Optimization: Assist in optimizing code for performance, scalability, and maintainability, following best practices and coding standards.
  • Bug Fixing: Identify and troubleshoot software defects and issues, providing solutions and collaborating with team members to ensure timely resolution.
  • Feature Development: Contribute to the design, development, and testing of new platform features, modules, and integrations.
  • Version Control: Utilize version control systems (such as Git) to manage and collaborate on codebase changes effectively.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, share knowledge, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Technical Documentation: Contribute to technical documentation, including code comments and documentation of processes, for improved codebase understanding and collaboration.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and design, to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionalities.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of PHP programming and experience with Laravel framework.
  • Proficiency in front-end development using Vue.js or similar JavaScript frameworks.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and responsive web design principles.
  • Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and coding standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team environment.
